Starting some updates

Well I thought it was due time that I did some work on my own site and have done some site redesign. I have moved from wordpress to django with mezzanine which was long overdue and am excited about doing further updates.

One of the issues I occasionally face is reading in data that has double byte characters. This is a solution to that issue.
